Independent Work

Yesterday I decided to change the colors of some of the members of the justice league for my independent project. It allowed me to work in photoshop to use the path selection tool and overlay colors with different effect to produce an "alternate reality" superhero. I finished The Flash and The Green Latern and out of those two my favorite is The Flash. Seeing how my dad has always been a huge comic guru, I've found that I find the heroes themselves awesome, just not so much the books. I could see my house having many posters but few books.

Article Review
I read an article on technology found here: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/12/technology/12soft.html?ref=technology
The main idea of the article is that Microsoft is trying to offer Office 2010 for free in an attempt to compete with other companies such as Google that are already offering free web software. This is the first time that Office will allow people to store their documents in the Web rather than on their personal computers. There will be a free Web version full of ads that show the full blown out version for $500. I personally find this very interesting and I am anxious to see how everything plays out. It will be cool to see how this unfolds and how other competing companies such as Google, react once the Office free software is released and received. I think at first it will be a pretty big hit among people but after a while I'm not exactly sure how it will do. I do wonder, if Google will try to come out with something to compete with the new Office stuff around the release of the software. To me, that would be good business.
